June 24, 2024 鈥� We鈥檙e proud to announce that our Jesuit Conference鈥檚 Office of Communications and Vocation Promotion team won 15聽, including honors for the new website, the聽,聽and various video, written and social media content.
The Catholic Media Awards are presented annually by the Catholic Media Association, an association of publishers and communication professionals in Catholic media. The association sponsors various award programs that honor works that inform and promote the mission of the Catholic Church.
Our won first place for 鈥淏est New Website.鈥� The JML is a place to gather, form and unleash Ignatian creators. The website includes blog posts, articles and audio/video resources on topics ranging from the Catholic storytelling tradition to graphic design for beginners. The site publishes work from our freelance partners, from to to how can improve your writing.
The , a weekly podcast show on spirituality, culture and social justice featuring conversations with 蜜桃视频 and friends, took home several awards, including second place for 鈥淏est Podcast鈥� and first place in the 鈥淏est Podcast Series鈥� category for 鈥�.鈥�
AMDG also took third place for the episode 鈥�鈥� in the 鈥淏est Podcast 鈥� Topical News鈥� category and received an honorable mention for 鈥�鈥� in the 鈥淏est Podcast 鈥� Expression of Faith鈥� category. The AMDG episode 鈥�鈥� won second place for 鈥淏est Interview 鈥� Audio.鈥�
鈥�Fisheries to Farmlands: A Pilgrimage in Integral Ecology鈥� received first place in both the 鈥淏est Multimedia Package 鈥� Social Justice Issues鈥� and 鈥淏est Package 鈥� Political Issues鈥� categories. Produced by Eric Clayton, deputy director of communications, and MegAnne Liebsch, communications manager for justice and ecology, it included a story, videos, photos and a podcast episode from Clayton and Liebsch鈥檚 visit to Kenya and Zambia where they spent time with a young Jesuit regent named Bryan Galligan, who was serving as the research and policy analyst for the Jesuit Justice and Ecology Network in the Jesuit Conference of Africa and Madagascar.
Additional second place awards for the Conference included: 鈥溾��God’s Grandeur鈥� – in Comic-Book Form鈥� by Julian Peters in 鈥淏est Illustration with Graphic Design or Art;鈥� 鈥�鈥� in 鈥淏est Video 鈥� Panel Discussion, Diocesan and National News Organizations鈥�; and our social media efforts on the in 鈥淏est Use of Social Media for Breaking News.鈥�
Our website, , received an honorable mention for 鈥淏est Online Content Not Published in Print 鈥� Feature.鈥� Now Discern This, a weekly email that is also published on 蜜桃视频.org, received an honorable mention for 鈥淏est Blog 鈥� Expression of Faith.鈥�
Mike Jordan Laskey, director of communications at the Jesuit Conference, received two honorable mentions for his work published by the Grotto Network, including in the 鈥淏est Blog – Social Justice Issues鈥� category for 鈥�,鈥� a reflection on what the pursuit of reconciliation required from the Descendants of Jesuit slaveholding and the 蜜桃视频 of the U.S., who partnered to form the Descendants Truth and Reconciliation Foundation in 2021. His other award was for 鈥�鈥� in 鈥淏est Blog 鈥� Expression of Faith.鈥�
